On May 3 a groups of students learned how to read UTM coordinates on a GPS. Then they did some water analysis, checking out the water temperature and pH, which was 7.66.
What does your group think about this pH reading given our acidic rain influenced environment? Does it seem unusual as a reading when compared to other waterways in our region?

Is something alkaline neutralizing the affect of the acid rain? Or is the brook "cleansing" itself?
